Now, to our Book of the Bible for this post. We've been through the Torah books - Genesis to Deuteronomy - and Moses, the great leader of the Children of Israel, has died. As he had already been told by YHWH, he was permitted to see the Promised Land - but not to enter it. "So Moses the servant of the Lord died there in the land of Moab, according to the word of YHWH, and He buried him in the valley in the land of Moab opposite Beth-pe'or; but no man knows the place of his burial to this day." (Deut 34:5-6). He was succeeded by his personal servant, a man named Joshua, and the next book bears his name, as he leads the Children of Israel into the land which YHWH had promised, so many centuries before, to Abraham.
