Serious drink-driving warning!

After some pretty serious postings, it's perhaps acceptable to bring a smile to some faces!  The following was included with a letter of support with regard to my own current 'newsworthy' position, that was slipped through our letter-box.

"I would like to share an experience with you all - about drinking and driving.

As you well know, some of us have been known, over the years, to have had brushes with the authorities on our way home after the odd social session!

A couple of nights ago, I was out for a few drinks, with some friends, in the Queen's Hotel.  Having had a few too many beers, and some rather nice red wine, and knowing full well that I may have been slightly 'over the limit', I did something that I've never done before - I took a bus home.  Sure enough, I passed some Traffic Officers who were checking the state of the drivers of cars that they had signalled to stop.  However, as I was on a bus, they just waved me past.

I arrived home without incident - which was a real surprise, as I have never driven a bus before, and am not even sure where I got it from!"

lol (or, for the French, mdr!)
