A wee psalm.

This evening, in Liberty Community Church, we were invited to write a personal Psalm!! We only had about ten minutes, but I want to share my little offering. I know that Cannuckbard will probably want to improve it - and I might even improve it myself if I gave it some time! However, this was what came from my heart at the time, and I am happy to leave it as it is.

You are the Mighty God; Creator of all things.
You are the Living Word; to You, my praise I bring.

I am a sinful man, destined for Your wrath;
Needing a Sacrifice of eternal worth.

Thank You, Lord, You died for me; You hung there in my stead.
You bore my sin; my death, You died; for me, Your blood was shed.

Thank You, Jesus; thank You, Lord;
I worship You.

All I would have done, if you were going to 'improve' it, would be to set it to music, which I know you are probably more capable of doing than me.

Hello Brian,

found your site via a post you made on the Evangelical Alliance website.

Further to your poem, I felt the need to write a song that set out the evangelical Gospel, but wasn't totally happy with the music I set it to.

Here is the link to the words, anyhow:
